Hunger and fullness cues, building a balanced plate and planning your week of meals.
Week 4
Rest and recovery
Sleep, stress and breath. How recovery makes you stronger and steadier.
Week 5
Acceptance and refocus
Radical acceptance and spiritual refocusing: meeting yourself kindly and reconnecting with what matters. Open to every belief.
Week 6
Your plan
Bring it together into a personal plan, choose your next step and meet the LiveSmart community.

Go deeper, together.
A facilitated curriculum with more interaction. You join a cohort that moves through the months together, guided by a LiveSmart trainer or coach.
Facilitated cohorts
A small group that starts together, learns together and encourages each other.
More interaction
Live sessions, group discussion and check-ins with your facilitator, not just videos.

A monthly checkpoint with your coach, and a community that notices when you are missing.

Month 5
Community and service

Month 6
Sustain and graduate
Build a long-term personal plan, celebrate with your cohort and choose how to stay connected.

The hub
One central hub for a healthier community.
We are building a central hub in Katy where training, meals, nutrition and education meet. Families learn alongside departments, schools and congregations, and share one calm, well-run space.
The Academy is how people find the hub. The hub is how the Academy keeps its promise.

Community
Better together.
Families train together. Neighbors cook together. We are building a place in Katy where health is shared, from a free monthly community class to programs for schools, departments, hospitals and churches.
Public service
Built for the people who hold a community together.
01
Individuals and families
Learn the habits behind a longer life at your own pace.
02
Schools
Wellness education for students, staff and families.
03
Police and fire departments
Strength, recovery and nutrition education for people who serve.
04
Hospitals and clinics
Programs for staff and for patients on the path to healthier routines.
05
Churches and faith communities
Wellness together, with meals and movement for the whole congregation.
Funding
Public and grant funding can help people join.
Cost should not keep a department, school or congregation from learning to live well. Government and foundation programs exist to fund wellness work, and we want the Academy to be a program they can use.
LiveSmart Incorporated is a for-profit Texas corporation. We do not claim tax-exempt status or any grant award. Many funders require a nonprofit applicant, so we are exploring a separate nonprofit arm or a fiscal sponsor, an established nonprofit that receives and oversees funds on a project's behalf.
Funding sources to explore
A research list as of October 2026, not a promise of funding. Each program has its own eligibility, deadlines and rules, and many are open to the department, school or nonprofit applying rather than to LiveSmart directly.
VFIS of Texas and Texas Mutual Emergency Responder Health and Wellness Grant
Open now. Applications due December 31, 2026. Up to $10,000 for volunteer or mostly volunteer fire departments and nonprofit EMS organizations serving 100,000 people or fewer. Eligible costs include a nutritionist and exercise equipment. Paid by reimbursement.
FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG), Wellness and Fitness
Funds wellness and fitness programs for fire and EMS personnel. The FY 2025 window closed June 22, 2026, so a department would watch for the next cycle.
Texas DSHS School Health Champion Award
Up to $10,000 in reimbursement for school action plans built on a School Health Index assessment. For Texas schools.
Episcopal Health Foundation
Texas health foundation funding community health work. The 2026 second cycle letter of inquiry window has closed, so a future cycle would be the target.
Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas
Community grants for access to care, food security and more. Requires 501(c)(3) status, or a fiscal sponsor with that status, and service within its 74-county area.
About fiscal sponsorship: National Council of Nonprofits and National Network of Fiscal Sponsors.
